Happy Friday, dudes... I've been able to do some work at work, lately, but I'm in a predicament, now. I wanted to upgrade my shipping code to directly connect to our shipper to make airbills and labels, but I also wanted to upgrade my inventory code to allow shipping sub-parts of our items (i.e. send a binder and its contents in separate boxes), so I started in on the inventory code first, since if I did it second, I'd have to change the shipping code I'd just upgraded, anyway. Now, though, there doesn't seem to be enough time to do the inventory and shipping upgrades before our first big set of shipments for the year (100+ boxes). Now, I've broken the inventory stuff too much to just patch it up and start in on the shipping, so it looks like I'll have to mothball the inventory stuff and checkout another copy of the main branch of code from CVS and start in on just the shipping. Guess I'll have to backup my development DB and use a copy of the live DB, too, since the schema was altered for the inventory stuff.
I think I'll be dumping CVS for Subversion after this is over. I've had some problems with just the one branch interfering with the trunk (moved files on the branch, CVS deleted them from the trunk), and Subversion is made to handle that stuff, so I'll be kicking my CVS repository off my hard drive, soon.
Anyway, click that broken image down there to vote. Guess the little ranking button was too much strain on their servers, so it's not there now.
