How do you find a decent doctor when you don't know any medical professionals in the area to give you recommendations? My old PCP (who I liked) left my HMO, and this new guy is an ass. He never even bothered to look at my chart before my appointment; he was caught off guard when I mentioned a health issue unrelated to my visit. He wanted some bloodwork done, and I told him it would show a couple of negative things because of circumstances in my life right now (some because of the injury I was visiting about). So, naturally, I get a call from a nurse with test results recommending I do things that totally fail to take into account everything I told this guy. What a fucking ass. I'm definitely never going to see him again. So now the question is how do I pick a doctor that doesn't suck?
