|Ordered a camera from walmart.com last friday, and checked it thursday night, only to find it had been delivered half an hour earlier! Quickly opening my front door, I saw there was no package. I was so sure it was going to be misdirected or left on my doorstep and stolen, and there it was. Missing. I must have some kind of Thanksgiving Shipping Curse on me, since 2001 when the Xbox was released, and my shipment from circuit city somehow took about 4 weeks to wend its way through the shipping system and get to me. Anyway, I called the UPS phone number and had to navigate through treacherous phone menus and speak my tracking number slowly, so the automated system could tell me that my package was "delivered... and left... at the back door." Well. I live in an apartment, and there's only one door that a sane person would leave a package at, so I went around to the apartment on the other side of my building, and, lo and behold, my box was there! The shipping label clearly said 175, and the numbers beside the door clearly said 174, but... Shipment succeeded! I finally own a digital camera, woo!
I've got about 1/4 pound of ground chicken in the fridge, and that's about it. There's some lettuce and hamburger buns, too, so I guess I'll have a chicken cheeseburger for the 3rd night in a row tonight. heh.
