I got most of the new mood stuff in... There's just the small matter of editing and creating new moods to be done.

I may die happy now, in my sleep, I guess. Remember my old panda kid avatar?

This mood thing, despite the fact that I'm not really using it for anything right now, is pretty spiffy. Also, it's no longer meltingly hot; I don't know what effect that might have on the plot of this series of comics. Paul's visiting from Atlanta at the end of this week, so I don't know if Friday will be part two of the series, or if I'll make Justin do something on his own and continue on Monday. Still have all the stuff I never wrote about on Friday to write about; not entirely sure if/when I'll get to that. Laters.

Absurdity

In an attempt to wrangle a better rent rate in exchange for signing a contract, I got in touch with the acting property manager at my apartment complex. You see, as a promotion they're offering $200 per month off the rent for those referred by an existing resident and signing a one year lease, and I thought perhaps they would make that same promotion available to me in exchange for signing. Turns out they will, with a catch -- I would have to move to a different apartment. Of course, said apartment would be pretty much equivalent to the one I currently have. It boggles the mind. To the point where I was pretty much left speechless. So I thanked him for his time and hung up the phone; I'll attempt to go pay a visit in person soon and see if I can't reason with them logically...

Things like this make me wish I had a 'perplexed' mood already defined...

Fuck You, Horde

For fuck's sake, don't take a while to write something out if you're using Horde. Fucking thing times out after a while, not giving you any warning, and not letting you save your work. I can't tell you how thrilled I was when 3 hours of on and off writing (while I was in between work tasks) floated off into the ether when I pressed the damn 'Save Memo' button.

Apparently, I need an angry mood defined as well... *sigh*

Yes, my web application minions, time out while Matt's writing stuff... Hmmm-ahh...

Anyway, I've got a physical scheduled for tomorrow, so Matt can laugh at me when I get those results back. *whimper*

Downside of this mood stuff: My 3 rants look like they were written by 3 different people... I've got to scour my Azumanga Daioh eps for more pics of chiyo-chan in different moods, so I can get rid of this identity crisis.

I've gotten my first taste of writing an ActiveX control... it's not that bad. Tomorrow... E3 for me! I'll try to have some E3 impressions up Friday, but don't hold me to it.

Please, fix our problem. Here's a vague description with no real information. No, you can't have access to the machine where the problem is happening. Yes, it started a week ago and we're only just now telling you, but we want it fixed immediately.

Aside: Yeah, different avatars == confusing. At first I thought Duckpuppy's rant was yet another mood of Regolith; I had to actually read to find out that that wasn't the case at all. Maybe we should have some sort of color coded bar with the ranter's name across the top of each rant? (Or maybe that would look stupid; I'm just throwing out ideas here.)
