Regarding snow: On Sunday it snowed. A lot. After originally being promised a nice weekend on Friday, the incompetent weather forecasters said we could expect 2" of accumulation on Sunday. Naturally, there was roughly 4" of accumulation by the time I got up for work on Monday. Thankfully there was a prediction of snow throughout the day Monday -- it was no surprise then that temperatures were in the 40s with no precipitation.

Frankly, I have trouble comprehending how people can live further north than this. I hadn't given snow much thought, having lived in the South for the majority of my life, but after the first major snowfall of this winter I could only come to the conclusion that people living in in the North must all be either insane or shut-ins. Possibly both. On the plus side, it was in the 60s and just plain lovely today; I was glad for the chance to get out in the sun and enojy a peaceful walk.

Regarding 7 Days: The series ended with its third season finale in May 2001. The Tuesday 8:00 PM timeslot it occupied was filled by Buffy the Vampire Slayer starting in the fall of 2001. Unfortunately, my VCD collection is still short by 9 episodes. (Wonder if we'll ever see any DVDs?)

Regarding release dates: Bah, it's the 14th!

Regarding floating avatars: We can only hope it never happens again.

Regarding inside-out aquariums: Make it stop!

If you're anything of an IP law / Internet law geek (as I am), I think you'll find this LawMeme analysis of the SearchKing v. Google lawsuit a pretty interesting read.
